RE: Reformation/Restoration of the Apostolic and 5-fold

When the apostolic is functioning, there is a very real and noticeable change in society. Notice how I did not say a change in our churches (alone). The apostolic is aggressive and comes to displace religious, demonic, unproductive systems that have been in place in a territory and replace them with the Kingdom. If culture is changed, that means that the mindset of the people has been changed. This comes from pushing back darkness / casting out devils and through systematic teaching.

I was thinking about healing this morning. It is the will of God for all to be healed and made whole. One thing I noticed is how many times we can make excuses for why healing didn't happen for those we pray for or even for ourselves. It does not matter who or what the circumstances are. God's power is real and His Word is true concerning the matter. There were times when Jesus was ministering healing or deliverance and it did not happen immediately. He prayed for a blind man twice until he received full sight. The apostolic does not back down. Even if you're up against 1,000 there is no giving up. The mission will be accomplished and the Kingdom will be advanced.

The fullness of the ministry of Jesus Christ is expressed through the Five-Fold gifts as well as spiritual gifts and administrations. Just not must they be in operation but they also must be mature. This is important to know as we are believing that we are in a time where God is restoring and reforming the Church back to her original concept.

It is also important to note that revival is what happens outside of the four walls of the congregation. Revival brings increase to our economy, our schools, the media, all that is around us. For years we have tried to contain revival within the Church and this is not God's intention. Acts of the Apostles proves to us that revival was never intended to be contained! Wherever the people of God were there was increase! The apostles preached the Kingdom, the power of God was demonstrated, people were being saved, regions were being occupied and the number of those who were born into the Church of God multiplied! Jesus is Lord and it was made known in every way, shape, or form in society / culture.

This reminds me of one of my favorite hymns:

"Jesus shall reign where e'er the sun
doth His successive journeys run;
His Kingdom stretch from shore to shore,
till moons shall wax and wane no more."

Reformation/Restoration of the Apostolic and 5-fold

God is restoring things back to its original form! His concept of order! Within the kingdom of God is God's government. When the early church was established in the book of the Acts of the Apostles, there was a governmental structure set in place. Ever heard of the 5-fold?
The five-fold are literally the maturing agents God uses to bring us up to the full stature of Christ!
1. Apostles
2. Prophets
3. Evangelists
4. Pastors
5. Teachers

(Ephesians 4)
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

The Apostles and prophets are foundational!
(Ephesians 2)
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

There are prevailing spirits over areas and specific strategic geographical locations:

Ephesians 6:12 (KJV) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

That's why you see one area is prone to a specific type of problem like drugs, violence etc. The Apostolic matches the rank and has the authority to even dethrone principalities. (It is possible for a congregation to not necessarily have an apostle there but are apostolic)

The apostles also lay the foundation to teach and guard truth. They say, "this is what we are going to teach". Prophets keep the truth straight; they say, "you're going to die if you keep doing that"! Evangelists preach truth and they bring in the harvest, pastors shepherd the sheep they gather and protect the sheep and teachers expound on the foundation laid and they build upon that.

What one generation tolerates the next generation embraces..
If there isn't an apostolic structure in place the next generation may think there is no problem or won't make the adjustments and that's a problem! But God is bringing reformation and restoration, Watch what He will do in these years and into the new decade!

What is the baptism of the Holy Spirit? It is the coming of the kingdom of God. It is Christ taking over in a life. No more do I live unto myself-that is over with! Now, thank God, according to His eternal purpose, He has taken over.  More»
